24h Owner Access
All clients are presented with a WI-FI fob that gives them 24.7 access to their vehicle(s) meaning that they can come and go as they please at a time that suits them. With hectic lifestyles, often involving heavy work schedules and international travel, our clients do not want to be restricted as to when they can and cannot take their vehicle(s) for a spin and our facility aims to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. In the interest of security, privacy and to ensure ease of access, our clients are required to have their WI-FI fob with them at all times.
24h Security with CCTV
At our Wandsworth facility, we employ four full time members of staff, who we refer to as ‘ car storage ambassadors’. Our ‘car storage ambassadors’ are hardworking and loyal and with a 24.7 on site visible presence are critical to our car storage operation. In addition to the 24.7 manned security we have in place, we have invested in several other key security measures, namely, a high quality, advanced CCTV system (comprising 40+ cameras) and an access control privacy/ security shutter. Ensuring our clients privacy and protecting their vehicles is of utmost importance to the Central London Car Storage team.
Battery Conditioner & Charger
Almost two thirds of our car storage spaces come with a 13-amp UK socket for trickle charging. Please note:
- Any charger plugged into one of our sockets must have a manufacturer brand name or logo clearly displayed on the front as well as a visible CE Mark.
- We do not have the provision in place to charge hybrid or electric vehicles. A different power supply would be required.
Vehicle Washdown Area
Within our facility, we have created a designated vehicle washdown area. Our clients are welcome to turn up, ad hoc, and use this area themselves (the vehicle washdown area comes equipped with two hoses, one for washing, one for rinsing, and an electric point for connecting a cleaning device). Alternatively, our clients can make a booking with Carbon Detailing, Central London Car Storage’s authorised car detailer, to carry out the cleaning, in this area, on their behalf. To protect the security and privacy of our clients vehicles, no other car cleaning company or detailer, is permitted to access our facility or use our wash down area.
Onsite Vehicle Cleaning & Detailer Service
Carbon Detailing are the only authorised, third party, cleaning specialist permitted to carry out any work within our facility. Since 2004, Carbon Detailing have specialised in beautifying, detailing and valeting some of the rarest, most expensive supercars and luxury vehicles on the market and lots of our clients have booked bespoke packages with them. All cleaning services must be booked and paid for directly with Carbon Detailing.
Air Chamber System
A selection of our car storage spaces come with an Air Chamber System. The Air Chamber system is considered to be the original storage chamber and has been designed to help protect vehicles (particuarly classics) against corrosion, caused by moisture and condensation. The Air Chamber itself is a transparent, rectangular, tent like structure that has full height zipped doors on both sides and and at the front. Whilst our facility has an optimum level of humidity, some of our clients are intrigued by the notable benefits that an Air Chamber can provide.
